If you haven't seen me in a while it is because
I've been watching HBO via Blockbuster. Carolyn and I made the mistake
of renting the first installment of "
Six
Feet Under." To give you some idea of the state it's reached (as
well as how much free time highschool students have during the summer),
we watched five hours of it today, stopping only to cap some strawberries
and cut open an avacado.
A few of you may remember
a
similar binge that occured last year. The difference being, of
course, that "My So-Called Life" ended after one season, and "Six Feet
Under" has three seasons on DVD, one on the way, and the last one still
airing. Not to mention the fact that I don't get HBO.
For those of you not familiar with it, the creator is Alan Ball,
who wrote
American Beauty. It's about a family that runs a
funeral home. We're finishing season one tomorrow. It's sick, I know.
