Anticlimatic, rambly, and unfocused are a few words you might use to describe this post

Lately:
-School.
-Pointless amounts of school in which nothing actually happens or gets done.
-More school. As in surplus amounts. A lot.
-Very few things that aren't school, one of which is reading. Finished: White Teeth. Started: on the ridiculously huge stack of library books which I brought home, including many nonfiction adventures such as A Mind of Its Own: A History of the Penis. Currently reading: Why is it always about you? a book on the psychological disorder of narcissism...which is harder to make people understand than you would think:
"Hey Glynnis, what are you reading?"
"A book about narcissistic psychological disorders."
"People who look in mirrors and stuff?"
"No."
"People who are obsessed with themselves?"
"Sort of."
"Is it good?"
"Here. Read the introduction. ::shove book in face::"
It's not the most entertaining book ever, but it's informative and interesting. Conceptually. It's unfortunate that informative books think that they can get by without being entertaining. Just because your book contains factual information doesn't mean you can get by with shitty writing. People need to understand this about publishing books. That's just me ranting, though--this book really isn't that poorly written.
-Watching a DVD I borrowed from my history teacher, Mrs. Hubbard, called Frontier House, in which three families move to Montana and build cabins and live authentically as 1883 people. It's ridiculously good and I finished it in one night and goddamn good reality series really are good. I'm with Dooce on that one. None of that Survivor cable crap. PBS all the way.
-Laundry. Or at least that's what I should be up to. But I'm not. Because of school.
-Tomorrow: school. Or at least, helping with auditions at school for new kids that are trying to get accepted. Which is sort of fun, but doesn't change the fact that I have to be here at 8:00. School.
-A senior reading. Tonight. Which means a reception, as well as eating out before hand at Moes. And then school. People don't tell you that when you start driving, and your friends can't for whatever reason (they're younger than you, live in the dorms, are really sucky drivers that you would never want to ride with for fear of risking your life), you must take them EVERYWHERE, and in huge numbers, i.e. Hannah and I were going to go out to eat. She mentioned it to Carolyn. Then Carolyn was coming. And she invited Naomi. So Naomi is coming. And then Mark got wind of it somewhere and offhandedly suggested that we do precisely what Hannah and H had planned, i.e. he knew of the plan and was too afraid to invite himself so came up with an identical plan hoping not to be noticed. So then Mark was coming. And then Shaina was upset that she didn't get invited, when no one was really inviting anyone in the first place. And then Sarah Black wanted to come. And so I end up with 45 people needing a ride. Which is not humanly possible. And I wouldn't be bothered if it weren't for the fact that NO ONE ELSE EVER EVER EVER drives or acknowledges the fact that driving can be an ordeal when there are 456 people in your car....maybe I should ask for a bus for christmas. That would totally solve the problem. It's not that much of a problem...I just like that I can complain about it.
That was an excessively long anecdote.
Consider yourself updated, temporarily. Because nothing really happens and when my posts are sparse you can assume that everything is pretty much the same and that I don't have anything significant to write about. And that internet access is limited. Or....I'm lazy.

Welcome to the past, bucko. You're swimming through the archive of rocket-fish.org. If this isn't where you were headed, I suggest you get out of here while there's still time.

As soon as I got my license suddenly everyone loved me. Of course they'd all be crazy not to want to see you regardless of transportation, but you know what I mean. My brain is a bit numb at the moment.
Have a lovely week.
mwah.
(I miss you!)

I've always felt Woody Allen had a narcissistic psychological disorder. Which makes him so gosh darn entertaining. :)
